A History of Innovative Pathology

1999First private pathology group in Central California to offer Internet-based pathology reporting with high-quality diagnostic digital images in electron and light microscopy reports.
2001Launch of PathDx1, a completely Internet-based pathology-specific practice management and reporting system that allows our pathologists to deliver routine 24-hour reporting for 90% of cases.
2004Launch of rapid tissue processing with Sakura Tissue-Tek® Xpress® delivering same-day pathology analysis for stat cases (2-hour histology turnaround times).
2005Launch of advanced tissue-based molecular pathology testing including automated Special Stains and Immunohistochemistry. Launch of dual-review ThinPrep® Imaging System providing image analysis system for Gyn-cytopathology (Pap) screening.
2006Launch of quantitative image analysis for ER/PR/Her2Neu in breast cancer. Implementation of comprehensive patient reports that span multiple diverse test results (AP and CP) for same date of service.
2007First lab in Northern California introducing new FDA-approved patient-friendly cervical biopsy collection device (SpiraBrush).
