Path Logic has partnered with NeoGenomics Laboratories to offer KRAS Mutation Analysis. In patients with colorectal adenocarcinoma, if mutations are present in the KRAS gene, poor prognosis has been reported in approximately 30-50% of cases.  Evaluation of KRAS can assist the oncologist identify the patients who may not benefit from cetuximab (ERBITUX®) or panitumumab (Vectibix®) treatment. The National Comprehensive Cancer Network recommends KRAS mutation analysis before starting EGFR-targeted therapy in metastic colorectal cancer. The American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) favors routine KRAS mutation testing for patients diagnosed with metastatic colorectal cancer before initiating anti-EGFR therapies.
